Joe has been working with adolescents, families, adults and groups for 30+ years. He is a graduate of American University and Smith College School for Social Work. In addition to private practice, he served on the Board of Trustees for Green Acres School and taught at the Catholic University School of Social Service. He has worked with the Fairfax County Health Care Alliance, developed the Preparation for Adult Careers and Education (PACE) program for high school students with emotional and learning disabilities, and worked for 10 years in independent schools. He has facilitated over 5,000 group therapy sessions with youth in Northern VA. As a consultant to public and independent schools and primary care practices in Northern Virginia, Joe works to bring people together to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities. He also provides training and presentations on teens and mental health. Joe enjoys hiking with his doberman and his family on weekends.
